ACQUISITION SUPPORT - Organizational Performance Improvement

"What gets measured … gets managed," and "what gets valued, gets done." Both of these thoughts were part of the foundation of the Air Force Surgeon General's decision to establish standardized performance measurements to facilitate improvements in quality, service and cost efficiency" within the Air Force Medical Service (AFMS). At the forefront of this effort was the adoption of a set of five guiding principles to develop a performance measurement system.

  1. Promote continuous performance improvement by providing information useful for ongoing analysis of operational effectiveness.
  2. Support enterprise-level decision making
  3. Provide maximum visibility, accountability, and ownership;
  4. Require only minimal special data creation effort;
  5. Use only techniques and systems that are available now.

This has all led to the creation of web-based systems to support the gathering, analysis and presentation of this data under the P2R2 logo, which symbolizes the Privilege and Pleasure AFMS feels in serving this country and drives their desire to do so in a Relevant manner at a Reasonable cost. X Technologies is pleased to be a part of this effort through our support of the Population Health Support Division at Brooks City-Base in San Antonio. X Technologies provides full-time, on-site and remote support of the data gathering and analysis functions, along with our participation in the evolution of the overall process through feedback-driven updates and modernization initiatives.
