Engineering Services
Our areas of expertise range from system engineering and technical analysis, logistics management support, parts obsolescence studies, re-engineering, repair and replacement of legacy components, to design and implementation of prototypes. We have completed numerous projects that required technology insertion, modeling and simulations, use of non-developmental items, reverse engineering hardware design and software development.

Manufacturing
The manufacturing capacity for X Technologies’ ranges from small to large workloads, comprising circuit card assemblies, cable harnesses, flight line accessory units, and adapter assemblies. We provide manufacturing and repair service for a wide array of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies. Our manufacturing capability ranges from prototype development, First Article units, and build-to-print production.
X Technologies operates a Quality Management System which is certified compliant with the requirements of AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015.
Automated Test System Development
With a strong reputation in the development of automatic test systems, X Technologies is confident in its ability to provide our customers with world-class, cost effective, tailored solutions. Our comprehensive open software and hardware designs enable the creation of versatile, scalable, multi-vendor solutions. Our software engineers possess the expertise to develop custom software test programs resulting in reusable, modular test programs resulting in reusable, modular test programs that are easily configured to meet new requirements. X Technologies successfully designed and manufactured a VDATS variant for the USAF Cryptologic Technical Repair Center.

Cyber Security / Information Assurance
Delivering IA services to support Service Cyber missions is a highly-specialized and complex undertaking that must integrate people, policy, process, and technology. Our approach relies upon sound, consistent, repeatable, and high-quality IA services delivery, which is essential to protecting critical networks and systems. Over the last 10 years, X Technologies has supported the Services by providing program support, systems engineering, software engineering, operations and maintenance, and subject matter expertise in application of Type 1 crypto, electronic key management, public key enabling and cyber security.
Our support to the DoD includes:
Advisory and Assistance Services in support of several Crypto Modernization programs
Software Upgrades and Modifications in support of the Air Force’s Data Management Device (DMD) Power Station,
Design, Development, Test, Installation, and Training of an AF standard depot test system (Versatile Depot Automatic Test Station – VDATS) to replace the legacy KG-207 high speed test system,
Obsolescence/Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) engineering study on the EKMS Key Processor (KOK-22A), and
Engineering and Customer service support to the AF Public Key Infrastructure (AF PKI) program office.
Experienced – X Technologies Core Staff has over 90 years of experience supporting Key Management Communications Security and Information Assurance Activities for the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
Crypto Modernization / Integration
X Technologies’Communications Security experience ranges from supporting service development efforts, ECU integration, Key Distribution and Management Systems, and logistics of NSA Type 1 products. Over the years we have provided the Services with full spectrum Crypto Modernization (CM) support with development strategy, EKMS sustainment, logistics/fielding plans for transition of legacy cryptographic equipment and integrating CM/KMI functionality into new systems. XTI has certified IT professionals, Security Specialists, and Software Engineers supporting the USAF in IA, C&A, security engineering, and cyber security.
Public Key Enabling
X Technologies provides engineering and Help Desk support to US Air Force (USAF) Public Key Infrastructure program. Our PK-Enabling SMEs consult with system developers to understand the architectures, designs, tools, technologies, and unique constraints in place for each system. Based on the unique characteristics of each system, our SMEs provide appropriate referent and/or production quality PK-Enabling guidance and instruction. As new technologies and capabilities emerge, our SMEs evaluate at a system engineering level to assess implications of those new technologies and capabilities, and produce technology-focused PK-Enabling guidance.
